"Be enthusiastic about your life and about this day. Anticipate your good--not just that which your human consciousness would like to see result from this day, but that which is for your highest good. You cannot know exactly what or who will present the perfect outworking of the divine plan for your life, or how it will happen. Simply know that your good is already on your path and eagerly anticipate its manifestation. You might not even realize what has happened when it is made manifest. But you will understand as you progress through this lifetime." ~ Lessons from the Source
A good friend once told me, "Ash, don't worry, everything is already on it's way." As if she already knew. As if she could see into my future and saw bright things, lovely things, things I would want to slow down and cherish. Her faith oozed out of her statement and left me with a sense of calm and purpose, to simply relax and enjoy the moment. It's something I like to remember at times of transition and times I get locked in a mix of worry and curiosity of wanting to know the answers of what's going to happen next. This year I learned a multitude of life lessons. The biggest one was learning how to truly be present in this very moment. To only focus on what I can do right now, today, instead of tomorrow, next week or next year. It's something I thought I had learned before, but up until this past year, I had no idea what truly being present was.
There's only so many things in life that are truly in your control. Sometimes it can feel like we're responsible for way more than we actually are. No matter how much you plan and which direction you choose, sometimes things come up that change the course. With the change of course you have two choices: adjust your sails, or fight the prevailing wind. As sticky as life can get and attached to our current settings as we can be, sometimes by relaxing the grip we see things a little differently. We see possibilities and new beginnings we may not have seen before by holding on so tightly. After doing lots of both, My choice has been to focus on the present and adjust my sails to what I value most. Focus on each one of my wonderful clients I get to work with for the time we have together, focus on my friends, my fiance (now husband), our family, our dog, our home. Focus on and be grateful for what I have today, because there's no way of knowing what tomorrow will bring.
The source of my lessons of being present came from the news that my husband's job would be taking a different course than we had anticipated when planting our roots here in Keene. I established Sacred Moments Center For Wellness with the intent to grow here, and it's been an absolute success. With the news of the closing of the establishment that helped bring my husband and I together, we were faced with some major unknowns of what was going to happen afterwards. We've spent well over the last year brainstorming, exploring, and creating many different plan A-Z's for many different possibilities. With each one we weighed the cost vs benefit, our goals, and values in all aspects of life. It's been a very challenging process yet naturally very rich with life lessons, personal, and professional growth.
We are thrilled to announce that we've found our next step. Although this next step has us adjusting our sails to a different destination than we had originally thought, it quickly became our favorite life plan with all aspects considered throughout the process. Our next chapter begins at a lovely coastal town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. We will be "setting sail" in a little over two months. As of now, my plan is that I will be taking appointments (new and current clients) in Keene until the third week of January 2015. I wanted to give you all as much notice as I could once our plans became official so that we can plan our time together accordingly and I can keep you all updated with the intent to make as smooth a transition as possible. I also hope that if the sea or life calls you to coastal MA that you'll come say hello and see my new space. A great way to keep in touch is through my mailing list, email, and my facebook business page so please stay on if you want to continue hearing my updates.
I have the utmost gratitude to have met and worked with you and wish for you to be assured that I will have great hands to refer you to upon my departure. If you have any questions, comments, stories, or anything you'd like me to know please feel free to email me privately, or if you wish to share your story publicly so that more people can experience my work, that would be incredibly fabulous! Also, please spread the word to any family members or friends that live, travel, or commute near the Plymouth area so that I can have the opportunity to provide service for them. Thank you for being a valued client of mine and I look forward to seeing you soon!
